Combine strength, cardio, lighter movement, and recovery in a realistic weekly routine.

Begin with your calendar

A weekly workout plan should start with the time you genuinely have. Before selecting exercises, look at your work, responsibilities, commuting, and likely recovery time. A simple plan that fits your calendar is more valuable than a complex schedule you cannot repeat.

Combine different training demands

Strength work and cardiovascular activity can support different aspects of fitness. You might place resistance training on a couple of days, include comfortable aerobic activity elsewhere, and leave space for lighter movement. The exact balance depends on your goals and current ability.

Protect room for recovery

Hard sessions are not the only productive ones. Rest and easier activity allow you to return to training with energy. If your schedule changes unexpectedly, adapt rather than trying to squeeze every missed workout into the next day.

Review and repeat

After a few weeks, ask which sessions were easy to keep, which were difficult to schedule, and how your body responded. Use that information to make the next plan more realistic. Sustainable fitness is built through frequent small adjustments.
